ICMR National Institute of Virology  invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Project Senior Research Fellow

Essential Qualification:

Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life Sciences OR M.E./M.Tech. Degree in related subjects, selected through a process described through any one of the following:

a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC, NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE

b) National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

Essential Work Experience: Two years research experience

Desirable:

• Experience in Microbiology laboratory work and molecular biology tools

• Knowledge of experiment design and development for detection of mechanisms of anti-microbial resistance
  

Post Name: Project Technical Support-I

Essential Qualification:

• 12th pass in science subjects

• Two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician OR one year DMLT plus one year experience OR two years field/laboratory experience

• B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience

Desirable:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/MLT

• Work experience in diagnostic laboratory / ELISA / PCR / Sequencing

• Knowledge of Computer application/report preparation

• Work Experience in sample & Data collection in field studies
