Essential Qualification: The candidate should be a Ph.D in engineering or science with first class or equivalent at preceding degree. He/ She should be an eminent engineer/scientist with excellent academic background, high quality R&D output in one or more areas of relevance to the Cls of HBNL. Scientific research or successful Project implementation track record in areas of interest to HBNI is necessary.

Essential Work Experience: A minimum 12 years of experience in teaching and research out of which 10 years must be as Professor in the grade pay of Rs. 10,000 and above or equivalent (Pre-revised VI CPC Scale) (VII CPC Level 14) with experience in research in science and engineering in a research laboratory. Preference will be given to those who have worked in research centres or aided institutions of DAE for at least 15 years.

Desirable: Familiarity with the working of DAE and legal framework for governance of education in India. Should have guided students for research background degrees and participated management of academic programmes.
