Post Name: Research Associate-II
Essential Qualification:
i) Doctorate degree from a recognized University in Meteorology/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Oceanography/ Physics/ Applied Physics/ / Mathematics/ Earth Sciences or equivalent subjects or Three years of research experience after M.Tech in Meteorology/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Oceanography/Earth Science and ii) Having at least one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) journal in the relevant field.
Desirable:
i) Candidate should have minimum 60% aggregate mark in the Master’s degree. Page 3 of 9
ii) Skill in Computer programming using Python, AI/ML, FORTRAN, C++, R etc., shell scripting, acquainted with MATLAB software. Experience with Linux operating system.
iii) Experience/Demonstrated skill in any one or more of the following areas as evidenced by peer-reviewed publication(s):
(a) Weather and climate modelling/ data analysis related to climate science/ CMIP5 / CMIP6 / and climate model analyses. Post processing with NCL
(b) Climate model simulations
(c)Aerosol-climate interaction
