Application Summary

Manipur University invites online applications from eligible candidates for admission in Doctorate programme. The important details of the admission process are listed below -

Course name: Pre-Doctor of Philosophy

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates who have passed the PG examination in the concerned/allied subject with 55% marks or above B Grade in the seven point scale or above (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer), Differently abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Masters degree prior to 19th September, 1991) and candidates who have appeared the qualifying examination and waiting for the results are also eligible to apply for the programme.

  • The number of vacancies will be determined at the time of provisional registration. Only those candidates who have successfully completed the Pre-Ph.D. course work with a minimum of B Grade in the 7- point scale will be eligible for registration to the Ph.D. programme. University Fellowships, wherever applicable, will be given with effect from the date of provisional Ph.D. registration.

  • The Minimum CGPA/marks shall be relaxed by 0.5 CGPA or 5 marks in case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PWD categories.
