Punjab Agricultural University invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Director of Extension Education

Essential Qualification:

(i) PhD in any discipline of Agriculture.

(ii) Masters degree in any discipline of Agriculture.

(iii) Bachelors degree in any discipline of Agriculture.

(iv) At least second division at Bachelors level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Masters level.

(V) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language of Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent (If not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).

Essential Work Experience:

(I) Twelve years experience in extension/teaching/research in any discipline of agriculture in a college/institution out of which, atleast 5 years must be as Professor & equivalent which should include experience in extension education work.

(II) Experience in planning agricultural field activities, organizing projects involving demonstrations, training field personnel and coordinating and supervising the activities of field worker.

(III) Administrative experience, leadership, ability and capacity to organize and supervise the work of others.

Director of Research

Essential Qualification:

(i) PhD in any discipline of Agriculture.

(ii) Masters degree in any discipline of Agriculture.

(iii) Bachelors degree in any discipline of Agriculture.

(iv) At least second division at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Masters level.

(V) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language of Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent (If not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).

Essential Work Experience:

(I) Twelve years experience in research/ teaching /extension out of which, atleast 5 years must be as Professor /equivalent with experience of having conducted research work independently in any discipline of Agriculture and published its results in scientific journals of repute.

(II) Experience in organizing, supervising and coordinating scientific research in any field of agriculture.

(III) Administrative experience, leadership, ability and capacity to organize and supervise the work of others.

Additional Director of Research (Natural Resources & Plant Health Management)

Essential Qualification:

(i) BSc (Agriculture)/BSc (Agriculture Engineering)/B.Sc. (Hort.)/B.Sc. (Forestry)/B.Tech.(Biotech),/ B.Tech.

(ii) PhD in Agronomy/ Soil Science/Entomology/Plant Pathology/Nematology/ Agrometeorology/Forestry and Natural Resources/Agriculture Economics/Soil and Water Engineering.

OR

(a) PhD Botany/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Zoology.

(b) Major research work related to natural resources and/or plant health management.

(c) At least second division at Bachelor level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Masters level.

(d) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language of Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent. (If not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).

Essential Work Experience: 12 years experience in research/ teaching/extension in relevant discipline in college/Institution out of which, at least 5 years must be as Professor/ equivalent. Administrative experience, leadership, ability and capacity to organize and supervise the work of others.
