South Western Railway invites applications for General Departmental Competitive Examination:


Exam name: General Departmental Competitive Examination


Post Name: Junior Translator-Hindi (Rajbhasha Assistant)

Educational Qualification:

(i) Masters Degree of a recognised University or equivalent in Hindi or English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at Degree level.

(ii) Masters Degree of a recognised University or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi or English medium and English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at Degree level.

(iii) Masters Degree in a recognised University or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subjects of either of the two as medium of examination and other as a compulsory or elective subject at Degree level.

(iv) Recognised Diploma or Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English and vice-verse.

(v) Translation Training Course Certificate of three month duration awarded by Department of Official Language, Central Translation Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs.


Essential Work Experience: 2 years experience of translatin work form Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central or State Government offices, including Government of India Undertaking.
