Harish Chandra Research Institute Prayagraj invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:
Post Name: Director
Essential Qualification: The candidate should have a PhD degree in a subject relevant to the research areas of institute and other related areas, with a first class or equivalent at the preceding degree. The candidate should be an eminent scientist/ mathematician/ engineer with an excellent academic background and should have a track record of very high quality research publications in reputed peer reviewed journals. Proven leadership qualities and adequate experience in the management of scientific/ research groups are necessary.
Essential Work Experience:
The candidate should have experience either in the analogous grade (Pay Level 15 of the VII CPC Pay Matrix) or at least five years in the grade one below, that is, Professor or SO (H) (Pay Level 14 of the VII CPC Pay Matrix).
The candidate should have rich experience in project implementation with optimum utilization of available resources.
Desirable:
Candidates who are fellow of the premier science academies of India (such as the Indian National Academy of Sciences, New Delhi, the National Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru and the National Academy of Sciences, India at Prayagraj) or having academic recognition from reputed institutes/universities shall be preferred.
Experience in national or international scientific collaborations shall be an added advantage.
Candidates are expected to be familiar with administrative and financial matters.
