Ministry of External Affairs invites applications for the following posts via Deputation:

Post Name: Assistant Library and Information Officer

Essential Qualification: Bachelors degree in Library Science or Library & Information Science from a recognized University or Institute.

Desirable Experience:

  1. Masters Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognised University or Institute; or
  2. Diploma in Computer Applications from a recognized University or Institute; or
  3. Certificate course of six months duration in one or two foreign languages other than English from a recognized University or Institute

Essential Work Experience:

  1. Two years professional experience in a Library under the Central Government or State Government or autonomous or statutory organisation or public sector undertaking or University or recognized research or educational institution.
  2. One year experience of indexing, abstracting and retrieval of documents or information using library management software from a recognized Library.
