Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training invites applications for the following posts via Deputation

Post Name: Senior Instructor (Oceanography and Marine Meteorology)

Essential Qualification: Officers under the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Universities or recognised Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous or Statutory Organisations:-

(a) (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department or

(ii) With two years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Pay Band-2 (Rs 9300-34800) with Grade Pay of Rs 4800 or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department or

(iii) With three years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Pay Band-2 (Rs 9300-34800) with Grade Pay of Rs 4600/- or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department or

(iv) With eight years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Pay Band-2, (Rs 9300-34800) with Grade Pay of Rs 4200 or equivalent in the parent cadre/department and

(b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:

(i) MSc in Oceanography or Meteorology from a recognised University or Institute

(ii) Three years research or reaching experience in Oceanography or Meterology in a Government Department or undertaking or organisation or institution, including experience in practical data collection onboard vessel.

Desirable: Doctorate degree in Oceanography or Marine Meteorology from a recognised University/Institute.
