National Institute of Urban Affairs invites applications for the following post via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Transport Planner

Essential Qualification:

1. Masters degree in Urban Planning/ Transport Planning/ Urban Design/ Transport Engineering or other related fields, with an understanding of sustainable transport, innovation in NbS and NMT with focus on climate resilient infrastructure;

2. Proficiency in use of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), AutoCAD, traffic simulation and modelling software, etc.;

3. Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with an ability to work in a multicultural environment; and

4. Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Desirable:

1. Experience of working with Central Govt./ State Govt./ National Urban Missions (SMART City, AMRUT, etc.)/ Multilateral and bilateral organizations/ Local Bodies/ Resource centers/ NGOs/ Communities;

2. Experience in developing TOD policy/ guidelines, TOD planning, street improvement and place- making projects, etc. will be an added advantage;

3. Working knowledge of GIS softwares (ArcMap, AutoCAD Map, QGIS, etc.) will be an added Advantage; and

4. Proficiency in spoken and written English. A good command over regional language (of Project cities) and Hindi is desirable.
