Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:
Post Name: Visiting Professor (Law)
Essential Qualification: Civil Service Officers of the State and Central Governments including retired officers and other eminent persons from academia, research etc.
(1) Eminent persons from outside Government should possess Ph.D in Law from recognised University at the time of his/her appointment. Candidates who have completed all the formalities of their Ph.D programme in Law subject (submission of thesis) and are awaiting award of their Ph.D. The condition should have at least five publications to her/his credit in renowned journals of her/his subject/domain.
(2) Besides, Government officers of the Central Government and State Governments including retired officers with a Masters Degree in Law from recognised University and 03 years experience in above subject. The serving officers will have to ensure that necessary permission and leave covering the period is obtained from the cadre controlling authority for this purpose.

(1) Eminent persons from outside Government should possess Ph.D in any domain of criminal law from recognized University at the time of his/her appointment. Candidates who have completed all the formalities of their Ph.D programme in said subject (submission of thesis) and are awaiting award of their Ph.D. The condition, should have at least five publications to her/his credit in renowned journals of her/his subject/domain.
(2) Besides, Government officers of the Central Government and State Governments including retired officers with a Masters Degree in any domain of law or related fields from recognized University and 03 years experience relevant subject. The serving officers will have to ensure that ensure that necessary permission and leave covering the period is obtained from the cadre controlling authority for this purpose.
Desirable :
1. Candidates with PhD specialization (awarded or pursuing) related to Cyber law, cyber security and cybercrime.
2. Industry standard certifications related to hacking, cybercrime investigation and cyber security.
3. If the candidate is an academician, then candidates with teaching experience in the field of cyber law and cyber security.
4. If the candidates is a practicing lawyer or a retired officer, then the Candidate with practical experience of handling cases as prosecutor/defense advocate in cyber offences or candidate with practical experience of handling Cyber crime investigation cases.
