Post Name: Senior Research Fellow

For Project:

  1. “CRP on Molecular Breeding (Chickpea Component)
  2. Incentivizing Research in Agriculture” (Chickpea Component)
  3. “Application of Next-Generation Breeding, Genotyping, and Digitalization Approaches for Improving the Genetic Gain Indian Staple Crops”


Essential Qualification :

(i) Masters degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Seed Science/Plant Biotechnology/Life Sciences with specialization in plant sciences as evidenced by dissertation work/Biotechnology with specialization in plant sciences with 4years bachelors degree. Those with 3 years bachelors degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D./ M.Tech in any of the above disciplines

(ii) Masters degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Seed Science/Plant Biotechnology/Life Sciences with specialization in plant sciences as evidenced by dissertation work/Biotechnology with specialization in plant sciences with 4years bachelors degree. Essential Qualification: 10th Pass from recognised board.

Desirable:

• Experience in field work like irrigation using favda, weeding using khurpi and kasola, harvesting and lab work related to agriculture. Certificate shall be uploaded, obtained from the previous employer or approved contractor (needs to be submitted

along with the application)

• Experience of Crossing programme in field crops
