Essential Qualification:
A Doctorate Degree in Anthropology or Sociology or Economics or Political Science from a recognized University.
Ten years teaching or research experience in a responsible capacity on the problem of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes preferably of West Bengal and neighbouring States.
Administrative experience.
Ability for guiding research.
Desirable:
Evidence of having published books, papers, etc. on tribal life and culture.
Adequate knowledge about problems and planning concerning Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Caste population.
