National Institute of Animal Biotechnology invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Senior Research Fellow

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Etc. with 2 years duration) with 3 years bachelors degree and NET qualification along with 2 years of research experience in any of the following.

Essential Work Experience: Candidate with prior experience in any of the following areas will be preferred-

  • Isolation and culture of mice/goat oocytes. In-vitro fertilization of mice/goat oocytes.

  • Retrieval of mice embryo and Embryo Transfer in pseudo-pregnant female mice.

  • Various molecular biology techniques, like RT-PCR, QRT-PCR, Immunohistochemistry, Immune cytochemistry, Droplet Digital PCR, protein purification and western blot analysis,

  • Generation of an expression vector by molecular cloning and its in-vitro characterization, culture, and maintenance of cell lines,

  • Generation of expression vector for genome editing (knock-out and knock-in) using CRISP – Cas9 tools,

  • Cell sorting by FACS/MACS, single-cell sorting, and generation of cell lines

  • Isolation and culture of Stem cells, transfection, and maintenance of stem cells, generation of iPSC, isolation, and culture of cells from different tissue sources,

  • Signal Transduction study by functional genomics. ix. Handling and experimentation on rodent models.
