National Center for Polar and Ocean Research invites application from eligible candidates for Walk-in-Interview for the following posts:

Post Name: Research Associate

Essential Qualification:

  • Doctoral degree (Microbiology/Marine Microbiology/Applied Microbiology) with First class in MSc (Microbiology/Marine Microbiology/Applied Microbiology) from recognised university.

  • Expertise in isolating and culturing microbes from environmental samples (marine, sediment, ice), molecular identification, with proven record of ability to design and execute experiments (both laboratory and field based).

  • At least 2 publications in peer-reviewed SCOPUS indexed journals. Should have a flair for writing and publishing of data

Desirable:

  • Analytical skills for estimation of nutrients (N,P,Si), carbohydrates, siderophores etc.. Experience in handling HPLC/LC-MS.

  • Knowledge of bioinformatics softwares.

  • Computer knowledge of working on WINDOWS

Place of Interview: ESSO - National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research.
