Assam Real Estate Appellate Tribunal invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Member (Judicial)

Essential Qualification:

• The Member (Judicial) shall be appointed by the appropriate Govt. on the recommendations of a Selection Committee consisting of the Chief Justice of the High Court or his nominee, the Secretary of the Department handling Housing and the Law Secretary and in such manner as may be prescribed

• Applicant has held a judicial office in the territory of India for at least fifteen years or has been a member of the Indian Legal Service and has held the post of Additional Secretary of that service or any equivalent post or has been an advocate

• The Member of the Appellate Tribunal shall hold office, as such for a term not exceeding 5 (five) years from the date on which he enters upon his office, but shall not be eligible for re-employment

• The person should not have any financial or other interests that is likely to affect prejudicially his functions as Member.
