Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology invites online applications from eligible candidates for admission in Doctorate programme. The important details of the admission process are listed below -

Course name: Doctor of Philosophy (Science)

Educational Qualification:

1. Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Physical Sciences [Atmospheric Sciences, Oceanic Sciences, Meteorology, Oceanography, Climate Science, Physics, Applied Physics, Electronics, Geophysics with Meteorology as one of the subjects, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent subjects] OR Chemical Sciences [Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or equivalent subjects] OR Mathematical Sciences [Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent subjects] with at least 55% marks for General and OBC Category (50% for SC, ST and Physically Handicapped Category)equivalent subjects] with at least 55% marks for General and OBC Category (50% for SC, ST and Physically Handicapped Category) OR

2. Master of Technology (M. Tech.) degree in Atmospheric Sciences, Oceanic Sciences or equivalent subjects with at least 55% marks for General and OBC Category (50% for SC, ST and Physically Handicapped Category). OR

3. Master of Engineering (M.E.) OR Master of Technology (M. Tech.) degree from any branch of Engineering with at least 55% marks for General and OBC Category (50% for SC, ST and Physically Handicapped Category) AND

4. A valid national-level fellowship (from national funding agencies such as CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST etc. or any other equivalent valid fellowship such as INSPIRE, RGNF etc.) with validity of minimum 04 years as on the last date of submitting applications.
