National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal invites online application from eligible candidates for admission in postgraduate/Doctorate programme. The important details of the admission process are listed below -

Course name: Master of Technology (Sponsored)
Educational Qualification: Admission to a M.Tech Programme shall be open to Indian nationals who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 6.5 in the 0-10 scale grading system, OR not less than 60% marks in the aggregate (taking into account the marks scored in all the subjects of all the public/university examinations conducted during the entire prescribed period for the degree programme

Course name: Master of Technology (Research)

Educational Qualification: Admission to a M.Tech (Research) Programme shall be open to Indian nationals who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 6.5 in the 0-10 scale grading system, OR not less than 60% marks in the aggregate (taking into account the marks scored in all the subjects of all the public/university examinations conducted during the entire prescribed period for the degree programme). However, this prescribed minimum shall be a CGPA of 6.0 OR 55% marks in the aggregate for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Valid GATE score is essential for scholarship seats

Course name: Doctor of Philosophy Programmes

Educational Qualification: Admission to a Ph.D. Programme shall be open to Indian Nationals who passed the qualifying degree in relevant field
with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 6.0 in the 0-10 scale grading system, or not less than 60% marks in the aggregate (taking into account the marks scored in all the subjects of all the public/ university examinations conducted during the entire prescribed period for the qualifying degree). However, this prescribed minimum shall be a CGPA of 5.5 or 55% marks in the aggregate for SC / ST / PwD candidates

Admission Details

National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal invites applications from eligible candidates for admission in various programmes. The method of admission will be Course Admission. Quota/Reservation will be provided to the following categories: Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Economically Weaker Sections, Other Backward Classes and PWBD Quota. The selection process will include an Interview process. After compilation of all the procedures, the candidates will be posted at Surathkal, Mangaluru, Karnataka, India, 575014.
