CSIR National Institute of Oceanography invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Project Associate-I

Essential Qualification:

  1. M.Sc Marine Science

  2. M.Sc Marine Biology

  3. MSc in Marine Science / Oceanography / Physical Oceanography

Desirable Qualification:

  1. Six months of research experience in macrobenthos sampling, identification and data analyses. Knowledge of taxonomic identification of macrobenthic species.Field sample collection in the coastal/estuarine areas by boat/ trawler/cruise participation. Sample processing and identification of macrobenthic fauna to the lowest possible level. Data analysis and writing of reports.

  2. Candidate having experience in marine biological sample (especially phytoplankton) collection.The selected candidate will have to carry out sample collection in the coastal areas by boat/trawler/cruise participation. Sample processing and analysis for identification of phytoplankton. Data analysis and writing of reports.

  3. The candidate should have good knowledge in coastal processes, satellite image processing, programming, and Windows as well as Linux Operating System.Candidate will be engaged in field work for various data collection, processing, analysis, presentation, report writing, and R&D.
