Bihar Public Service Commission invites applications for the following post via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Director-cum-State Fire Officer

Essential Qualification: Graduation from the Faculty of Science from a recognized institute or Graduation (Fire Engineering) or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical/Automobile subject with passed Divisional officer course from National Fire College, Nagpur or recognized by the Central Government. Must have received minimum three months training prescribed for Senior Supervisory Officer from any other institute.

Essential Work Experience: 

  • At least 20 years of work experience in the fire fighting field, of which at least two years of work experience as Divisional Fire Officer or an equivalent post of Senior Supervisory Officer and minimum 02 years of work experience.

  • Regarding the work experience of the remaining 18 years, it is to be clarified that the work experience of any post lower than the category equivalent to Senior Supervisory Officer i.e. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Pay Level-9) will be recognized. The competent authority to grant work experience certificate will be the Head of the Department/Appointing Authority of the concerned institute.
