Ministry of External Affairs invites applications for the following posts via Deputation:

Post Name: Principal Interpreter

Essential Qualification: 

  • Masters degree in the French language with English or Hindi or any Indian language included in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution as compulsory or elective subject at degree level from a recognised university or institute and

  • Twelve years experience as a Translator or Interpreter in the French language to English or Hindi or any Indian language included in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution and vice versa or in teaching the French language concerned or

  • A degree in the French language with English or Hindi or any Indian language included in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution as compulsory or elective subject from a recognised university or Institute and

  • Fourteen years experience as a Translator or Interpreter in the French language concerned to English or Hindi or any Indian language included in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution and vice versa or in teaching the French language or

  • Bachelors degree with English or Hindi or any Indian language included in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution as compulsory or elective subject from a recognised university or institute and

  • A diploma equivalent to interpretership standard in the French language concerned from a recognised university or institute and

  • Fifteen years experience as a Translator or Interpreter in the French language concerned to English or Hindi or any Indian language included in the Eighth Schedule and vice-versa
