Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare invites applications for the following posts via Deputation:

Post Name: Assistant Director

Essential Qualification:

(A) Officers of Central or State Government of Union Territories of Autonomous or statutory organizations or Public Sector Undertakings or University or recognized Research Institutions are eligible:
(i) Holding analogous post on regular basis; or

(ii) Holding post in Level 8 in pay matrix with two years regular service and

(B) Possessing the following educational qualification and experience:

(i) M.Sc. in Chemistry or Agricultural Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Dairy Chemistry or Food Technology or Oil Technology or Toxicology or Biotechnology from a recognized University or equivalent with one year experience in the analysis of agricultural commodities and organic materials from Central or State Governments or Union territories or Autonomous or statutory organizations or Public Sector Undertakings or University or recognised Research Institutions or National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories accredited Laboratory OR;

(ii) B.Tech. in Oil or Food or Chemical Technology from a recognised University or equivalent with two years work experience in a supervisory capacity in analytical work of agricultural commodities and organic materials out of which one year should be in the analysis of agricultural commodities or organic materials from Central or State Governments or Union territories or Autonomous or statutory organizations or Public Sector Undertakings or University or recognised Research Institutions or National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories accredited Laboratory.

Desirable:

(i) Research experience in framing of standards for agricultural commodities.

(ii) Research experience in agricultural commodities and organic materials as evidenced by published work.
