National Film Archive of India invites applications for the following posts via Deputation/Absorption:

Post Name: Junior Hindi Translator

Essential Qualification: Officers under the Central Govt. or State Government.

(a) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

  1. With 6 years regular services in PB-1 with Grade Pay of equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or, with 10 years regular service in PB-1 with Grade Pay or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

(b) Possessing the following educational qualification:

  1. Masters degree of a recognized University in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject as a medium of examination at degree level OR

  2. Masters degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi or English medium and English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree level. OR

  3. Masters degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English but with Hindi or English as a compulsory or elective subjects or with either of the two as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level. and

  4. Recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central or State Government offices, including Govt. of India undertaking.

Desirable:

  1. Knowledge at the level of Matriculation or of a recognized Board or equivalent of one of the languages other than Hindi mentioned in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.

  2. Degree or Diploma in translation in Hindi to English and vice- versa from any recognized University.
