Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata invites online applications from eligible candidates for admission in doctorate programme. The important details of the admission process are listed below -

Course name: Doctor of Philosophy

Educational Qualification: Bright and motivated students who have passed M.Sc. or equivalent examination with a minimum of 55 % marks in any field of Biology and/or relevant Science stream. In addition, the candidates must have valid CSIR/UGC-NET-JRF (ONLY those who have cleared JRFs in the recent Exam and results declared in November 2022).

Venue: Room 112, Lecture Hall Complex (LHC), IISER Kolkata, Mohanpur, Nadia 741246

Admission Details

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata invites applications from eligible candidates for admission in various programmes. The method of admission will be On Spot Admission and Course Admission. Quota/Reservation will be provided to the following categories: Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, PWBD Quota and Economically Weaker Sections. The selection process will include an Interview process. After completion of all procedures, successful candidates will be granted admission to Kolkata, West Bengal, India, 700046.
