Essential Qualification:
M.Sc. in Physics/Maths or B.E/B.Tech, with minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade (aggregate) from a UGC recognized University or Institution. Candidates with B.Sc. in Physics or Maths may also be considered if they have substantial experience in astronomy or science outreach as a full time job for at least a year.
Experience in science outreach for at least 1 year in a formal or informal capacity.
Knowledge of basic astronomy concepts.
Skilled in explaining these in non-technical terms and simple examples.
Good computer skills (Google services, MS-Office, Social Media handles).
Good in spoken and written English and spoken and written Hindi
Desirable:
Experience as an amateur astronomer for at least 1 year.
Attended any formal or informal astronomy courses or classes.
Familiarity with design/editing softwares (for image, video, animations etc.)
