Course name: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)


Educational Qualification: M.Tech./M.E./M.Arch/M.Pharma/M.S./MBA/PGDBM / PGDM, M.Sc./M.Com./MBBS/BDS, MA, MCA, B.Tech/B.E./B.Arch./ B.Pharm/Equivalent, CA/ICWAI/CS with a graduation degree.


Essential Qualification: CSIR, UGC, GATE, GPAT, DBT-JRF, JEST, ICMR, ICAR, NBHM, Bioinformatics National Certification Examination etc. However, these NET qualifications will have to be relevant to the qualifying degree of the candidate concerned.

Admission Details

National Institute of Technology Durgapur invites applications from eligible candidates for admission in various programmes. The method of admission will be Course Admission, Fellowship and Scholarship. Applications are invited with reference to advertisement number NITD/AR/PhD/2022-23/Odd Sem.. Quota/Reservation will be provided to the following categories: Unreserved, PWBD Quota, Economically Weaker Sections, Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. The examination will be conducted through Offline and Online mode at Regional level. After compilation of all the procedures, the candidates will be posted at Durgapur, West Bengal, India, 713210.
