West Bengal Public Service Commission invites applications for the following post via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Geography Mistress

Essential Qualification:

1. A Second Class Master’s degree or Honours degree in Geography of an Indian University or equivalent.

2. A degree in Teaching or Education or equivalent ( a candidate not possessing this qualification may apply but if selected shall have to acquire such qualifications within 3 years of joining the post and will draw on an adhoc basis the initial of the time-scale of pay till she qualifies herself in this regard.

Essential Work Experience:

1. Teaching experience in English medium in Secondary Schools, preferably residential ones, relaxable for otherwise well qualified candidates.

2. Ability to teach in English medium

Desirable :

1. Ability to organize extracurricular activities such as performance of dramas, organization of literary meetings, educational excursions etc.

2. Knowledge of Bengali- spoken and written.

3. Knowledge of Nepali- spoken and written
