Post Name: Assistant Section Officer

Essential Qualification:

(i) Bachelor Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

(ii) Post Graduate Degree from a recognized University.

(iii) Degree in Law from a recognized University.

(iv) Knowledge of additional Indian Language apart from English/Hindi.

Post Name: Junior Translation Officer (JTO)

Essential Qualification: Master degree of a recognized university in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level 

Or Master degree of a recognized university in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level 

Or Master degree of a recognized university in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory subject or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level 

Or Master degree of a recognized university in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory subject or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level

Or Master degree of a recognized university in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi and English as a compulsory subject or elective subject or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level 

AND

Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.

Recruitment Details

Press Council of India invites application for various posts. Total 5 number of vacancy/vacancies have been announced in the notification. Applications are invited with reference to advertisement number 1/9/2020-PCI (Admn.). The minimum age limit is 18 and the maximum age limit ranges to 30, depending on the specific post. Please look at the Official Notification for the age limits mentioned for each post. Age relaxation will be given to the following categories: Jammu and Kashmir Domicile, Government Servant/Departmental Candidate, Persons With Benchmark Disability, SC/ST Categories, Other Backward Classes and Ex-Servicemen will be as per the government rules. Quota/Reservation will be provided to the following categories: Unreserved, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backwards Classes and Scheduled Castes . The examination will be conducted through Offline mode at Regional level. After compilation of all the procedures, the candidates will be posted at New Delhi Delhi India 110011.
