Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Constable

Essential Qualification: Have passed 10th and 12th class from a board established by law in India or its equivalent qualification recognized by the Government

Preferential Qualification:

  • Have obtained O level certificate in Computer from DOEACC/NIELT Society or

  • Has served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years or

  • Must have obtained B certificate of National Cadet Corps

Recruitment Details

Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board invites application for various posts. Total 60244 number of vacancy/vacancies have been announced in the notification. The minimum age limit is 18 and maximum age limit is 22 as on date. Age relaxation will be given to the following categories: Women, Divorced Women, SC/ST Categories, Economically Weaker Section, Person With Benchmark Disability and Other Backward Classes will be as per the government rules. Quota/Reservation will be provided to the following categories: Unreserved, Economically Weaker Sections, Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Women . The examination will be conducted through Offline mode at Regional level. There will be a Physical Test. After compilation of all the procedures, the candidates will be posted at Uttar Pradesh, India, 226001.

Examination Cancelled

Under direct recruitment-2023 to the posts of constable civil police in Uttar Pradesh Police, the written examination was organized on 17.02.2024 and 18.02.2024. In view of maintaining the credibility, transparency and sanctity of the examination in the light of the information and representations received regarding wrongly circulating the question papers of the second shift of the written examination of both the dates before the scheduled time, dated 17.02.2024. And it has been decided by the Uttar Pradesh government to cancel the written examination of all the shifts on 18.02.2024.
