CSIR National Institute of Oceanography invites applications for the following post(s) via direct recruitment:

Post Name : Project Associate-I

Essential Qualification :

(1) M.Sc Bioinformatics

(2) M.Sc Marine Biology/ Biological Oceanography/ Aquatic Biology

Desirable Work Experience :

(1) Experience in basic molecular biology techniques, knowledge in statistical analysis and R programming, bioinformatics analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequence, NGS, metagenome and bacterial whole genome data.The candidate must be an excellent team worker who would be expected to perform the laboratory as well as field research experiments, maintain accurate data, perform critical data analyses, prepare/make presentations etc. The specific assignments may include but would not be restricted to participation in ocean cruises and field sample collection.

(2) Thorough knowledge in the collection and analysis of benthic samples.The candidate must be an excellent team worker who would be expected to perform the laboratory as well as field research experiments, maintain accurate data, perform critical data analyses, prepare/make presentations etc. The specific assignments may include but would not be restricted to participation in ocean cruises and field sample collection.
