Department of Food and Public Distribution invites applications for the following posts via Deputation:

Post Name: Joint Commissioner (S and R)

Essential Qualification: Officers of Central Government or State Governments or Union Territory Administrations or Public Sector Undertakings or Universities or Recognized Institutions or Autonomous bodies or Statutory Organizations

a.

(i) holding analogous posts on regular basis, or

(ii) with five years of regular service in posts in the Pay Band -3(15600-39100/-). Grade Pay of 7600/-, and

b. Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:

Educational: 

(i) Masters Degree in Entomology or Plant Pathology or Bio-Chemistry from a recognized University or Masters Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Entomology or Plant Pathology or Bio-Chemistry from a recognised University; or

Masters Degree in Zoology or Botany with specialization in Entomology or Plant Pathology from a recognised University, and

(ii) Twelve years experience in teaching or research or extension work, including aspects related to storage and preservation of food-grains in Government organisations or Public Sector Undertaking or Universities.

Desirable: PhD in Zoology or Botany or Bio-chemistry of Agriculture from a recognized University.
