Essential Qualification:

For MEd Courses-

(i) Post Graduate degree in a related discipline

(ii) MEd with minimum 55% marks

(iii) PhD in Education

(iv) Ten years of Professional experience in Teacher Education

For BEd Courses-

(i) Post Graduate degree in Arts/Science/ Social Science/ Humanities/ Commercewith 55% marks, and

(ii) MEd with minimum 55% marks, and

(iii) PhD in Education or in any pedagogic subject offered in the institution, and

(iv) Eight years of teaching experience in a Secondary Teacher Education Institution.

For BElEd Courses-

(i) Post Graduate degree in Arts/Science/ Social Science/ Humanities/ Commercewith 55% marks, and MEd/ MA (Education) with 55% marks

(ii) Five years of teaching experience in a Teacher Education Institution

For BPEd Course in Physical Education-

(i) A Masters degree in Physical Education (MPEd/ MPE) with 55% marks or its equivalent grade, ie B in the seven point scale of letter grade O, A, B, C, D,E, F as per UGC norms

(ii) PhD in the field of Physical Education

(iii) Eight Years teaching experience out of which five years in an Institute/ College/ Department of Physical Education

(iv) Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC/ University from time to time for the positions of Principal shall be mandatory

Desirable: Diploma/ Degree in Educational Administration or Educational Leadership
