North Eastern Council Secretariat invites applications for the following post via Deputation:

Post Name: Managing Director

Essential Qualification:

(i) M.Sc/M.Tech/M.A/MBA degree from a recognized University or equivalent in Agriculture/Horticulture/Engineering/Technology/Applied Sciences/Economics/Social Science.

Desirable:

(i) A member of the Indian Administrative Service/ Indian Forest Service/Central Service Group A/Allied Services.

(ii) Ph.D. degree from a recognized University in Agriculture/Horticulture/Engineering/Technology/Applied Sciences/Economics.

(iii) LL.B Degree from a recognized University or MBA degree from a recognized University.

(iv) Candidates having sound knowledge of Government rules and regulations, Government procedures, sound knowledge and good experience of handling official matters, administrative and technical matters, legal matters, establishment matters, financial matters, account matters, stores and purchases, vigilance matters, disciplinary matters, estate matters, welfare matters and protocol matters.

(v) Candidates willing to travel extensibly, ability to communicate with wide range of people including High level Officers of Central and State Governments/Senior Executive level including Non-Governmental Organizations and communities; Meritorious candidates having higher qualifications, having awards and distinctions from the Government, having good official drafting skills, good writing skills, having publications including research papers in reputed journals; having good exposure and experience at national and international level, good experience and exposure of handling evaluation, funding, implementation and monitoring of the schemes/development projects of the Central/State Governments at multilevel in varied fields.

(vi) Officers in regular service under the Central Government/State Government/Public Sector Undertaking/Recognized Universities/Research Institutions and Organizations Under the Government Or eligible candidates working in Non Governmental organizations. With minimum 5 years of regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the pay band of Pay Matrix, Level-13 (pre revised pay band of PB-4 37,400-67,000/- + Grade Pay 8,700/- OR minimum 7 years of regular service on a regular basis in the pay band Pay Matrix, Level-12 (pre revised pay band of PB-3 15,600-39,100/- + Grade Pay 7600/-). 

Essential Work Experience: (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent department/organizations and

(ii) Government grade pay specification is not applicable for non-governmental candidates/those in contractual appointment however, they should have minimum 10 years of experience in management of development programmes.

(iii) 15 years of working experience in North Eastern Region in Various Capacities in the development sector.
