Essential Qualification: Candidates should have good academic record with Master’s degree in the relevant or cognate or allied subject with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade point for General/OBC/EWS category and minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade point for SC/ST category. For Sl. No. 1 & 2 the relevant subjects are folkloristics, cultural studies, and folklore studies and the cognate and allied subjects are anthropology, sociology, history and English and for sl. No. 3 & 4 music, painting/fine arts/visual arts respectively. Besides, the candidates must have NET qualification or cleared similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET in the concerned subject.

Candidates having Ph. D. degree in the relevant or cognate/allied subjects will be given additional preference. Besides, candidates should have good publications and academic activities with minimum 3 years of teaching experience, part time or full time, at the P.G. or P.G. Diploma level.
