Assam Agricultural University invites applications for the following post via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Project Associate-II

Essential Qualification: PhD / Master degree in Agricultural Biotechnology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Plant Breeding and Genetics /Bioinformatics/ IT / Computational Sciences/ any Branch of Life Sciences with specialization in Genomics and outstanding academic record with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with adequate experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associate-ship / Training / other engagements/ research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/NAAS rated (> 4.0). Preference will be given to Ph D degree holder in above-mentioned fields with specialization in Genomics and outstanding academic record and proven ability of high R & D work.

Desirable: Since projects requires sequence analysis with reference genome alignment, adequate IT skills with experience in Linux environment to work in softwares for genome analysis/comparative genomics/ population genomics/transcriptomics/bioinformatics shall be given preference.
