The University of Burdwan invites online application from eligible candidates for admission in postgraduate programme. The important details of the admission process are listed below -

Course name: Master of Technology

Essential Qualification:

  • BE or B Tech Electronics/ Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Radio Physics & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics and Electrical Engineering/ M.Sc. in Electronics/ M.Sc. in Electronics and Communication/ M.Sc. in Physics with Electronics with at least 50% (45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories) marks in aggregate. Candidates awaiting their final result may also apply provisionally subject to production of Final Result before the commencement of the Interview.

  • GATE-qualified candidates will get preference. A few seats are kept reserved for sponsored candidates fulfilling the basic eligibility and having at least two-year full-time work experience in a Registered Firm/Industry/R&D Institution etc after acquiring the basic eligibility criteria. Non GATE candidates may also be considered for admission, if seats are not filled up by the GATE qualified and/or sponsored candidates.

Admission Details

The University of Burdwan invites applications from eligible candidates for admission in various programmes. The method of admission will be Course Admission. Quota/Reservation will be provided to the following categories: Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes. The selection process will include an Interview process. After completion of all procedures, successful candidates will be granted admission to Bardhaman, West Bengal, India, 713144.

Important Information Regarding Admission to M.Tech

Candidates with Application Ids I2022014 and I2022016 are advised to submit the supporting caste documents to mtece@phys.buruniv.ac.in latest by 20/09/2022, 05:00 p.m.Guideline for online Admission Test will be sent on 19.09.2022 by.5:00 pm. Link for the online admission test will be sent to the registered email of the Category C candidates at 11:50 a.m. on 20/09/2022.Admission Test time: From 12:00 Noon to 01:00 p.m.. At 01:00 p.m., the link for submission of the online test will be de-activated.The link for online Interview will be sent to the Category A, Category B and Category C (those who will appear on the Admission Test only) on 20.09.2022 by 5:00 p.m. Date of Online Interview of candidates: 12:00 Noon on 22.09.2022
