Chandigarh Administration invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:


Clerks

Essential Qualification:

(i) Bachelor Degree from a recognized University/Institution on or before the closing date for submission of application forms and Proficiency in operation of computer (Word processing and Spread Sheets) and a speed of 35 words per minute in English Typewriting on Computer.

(ii) Certificate of ICT Skills course i.e. Course on Computer Concepts (CCC) – 80 hours from a Govt. recognized institution OR a reputed institution which is an ISO 9001 certified OR Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Course (DOEACC) of Govt. of India OR from NIELIT and its authorized institutions at the time of their appointment.


Stenographer-Typist

Essential Qualification:

(i) Bachelors Degree from a recognized University/Institution on or before the closing date for submission of application forms and Proficiency in Operation of Computer (Word Processing and Spread Sheets) and a speed of 80 words per minute in Stenography (English) and a speed of 20 words per minute in transcripting the same on Computer. No candidate shall be considered to have qualified the test, if he/she commits more than 8% mistakes.

(ii) Certificate of ICT Skills course i.e. Course on Computer Concepts (CCC) – 80 hours from a Govt. recognized institution OR a reputed institution which is an ISO 9001 certified OR Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Course (DOEACC) of Govt. of India OR from NIELIT and its authorized institutions at the time of their appointment.

Recruitment Details

Chandigarh Administration invites application for various posts. Total 404 number of vacancy/vacancies have been announced in the notification. Applications are invited with reference to advertisement number 34/129-IH(11)-2019/14696. The minimum age limit is 18 and the maximum age limit ranges to 47, depending on the specific post. New Pay Scale

It is informed that the Govt. of Punjab, Finance Department (Finance Personnel-1 Branch) vide letter No.7/42/2020-5FP1/741-746 dated 17.07.2020 issued instructions regarding New Pay Scales for the fresh recruitment/appointment in the service of Government of Punjab or its entities thereof. By virtue of notification dated 13.01.1992 of Govt. of India, MHA, the Chandigarh Administration, Finance Department has adopted the above said instructions of Govt. of Punjab in respect of the employees of Chandigarh Administration. Thereafter, Government of Punjab, Finance Department vide letter No.7/87/2020-5FP1/1145 dated 29.10.2020 fixed the Pay Matrix for the posts of Clerks and Steno-Typists. In terms of the above letter of the Govt. of Punjab, Department of Personnel, Chandigarh Administration vide Notification No.34/129- IH(11)-2021/237 dated 06.01.2021 has notified new pay scale in respect of Clerks and Steno-Typists. As per above decision of Chandigarh Administration, the new pay scales for the posts of Clerks & Steno-Typists are as under and the same are also applicable to this recruitment of 356 posts of Clerks and 48 posts of Steno-Typists instead of pay scales mentioned in the recruitment notice referred above: New pay scale for Clerk post - 19900 (Level 2)New pay scale for Steno-Typist post - 21700 (Level 3)
