Essential Qualification:

For Deputation: Possessing the educational qualifications and experience as mentioned below.

For Direct Recruitment:

• Doctorate Degree in Physical Sciences or Masters Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.

• Fifteen (15) years experience in research and development in industrial and academic Institutions or science and technology organizations, out of which seven (7) years shall be in administration, planning, development and coordination of R&D and related areas.

• Experience of evolving, managing and directing major science and technology development programmes; and

• Published research work of high standard and/or good record of patents granted/filed.

Desirable:

• Post Doctorate research in Physical Sciences or doctorate in Engineering or Technology from a recognized Institute as evidenced by certification by such University or Institute and publication of research work in journals of repute.

• Experience in conception, management and implementation of major scientific or technology development programmes.

• Experience in technology transfer and/or implementation of industry-relevant projects.

• Proven track record of application Artificial Intelligence (AI)/ Machine Learning (ML) techniques/ computational calculation methods for materials development by way of funded projects and relevant publications shall be an added advantage.
