Post Name: Social Safeguards Expert

Essential Qualification:

• Master’s degree in social sciences, community mobilization, or sociology and / or similar subjects from reputed institute(s).

• Minimum 15 years of proven experience in working on social safeguards / development aspects in preparing, implementing, and monitoring plans and social development schemes associated with projects in the agriculture sector, especially in agriculture finance and agriculture and allied industries.

• Demonstrated experience in the promotion of social inclusion of the poor and vulnerable sections including women, minorities, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes.

• Possess experience in community mobilization, and the ability to guide and support contractors and other key stakeholders to carry out social due diligence activities.

• Preference is given to candidates who are familiar with the social safeguards / development policies of the World Bank.

• Proven experience in effectively assisting local and state governments in social development and management, including support to the preparation of technical documents, community mobilization and clearances from competent agencies.

• Proven capacity to convene and establish strategic relationships with relevant government, expert agencies, public and stakeholders to ensure a socially sound and inclusive implementation of the project.

• Proven experience in conducting participatory decision making and community-based development processes.

• Knowledge and working experience with PRI (Panchayats Raj Institution), Development and Agriculture offices.

• Proficiency in local language and experience with multilateral funded projects will be an added advantage.

• Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience in interacting with government and business entities
