Indian Statistical Institute invites online application from eligible candidates for admission in PhD programme. The important details of the admission process are listed below -


Course name: Phd (Computer Science)

Essential Qualification:

(i) M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Electronics/ Telecommunication/Radio Physics/ Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/ Microwave Communications/ Information Technology/ Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology with Mathematics as a subject at the undergraduate or postgraduate level, or (ii) M. Statistical/ M.Sc./ M.C.A./ M.A. or equivalent degree in Physics/ Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Statistics/ Electronic Sciences/ Computer Science/ Atmospheric Science/ Information Technology/ Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology with Mathematics as a subject at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.

(ii) CSIR/ UGC NET fellowships valid for commencement from 1 August 2022.

Admission Details

Indian Statistical Institute invites applications from eligible candidates for admission in various programmes. The method of admission will be Course Admission and Fellowship. The examination will be conducted through Offline mode at Regional level. The selection process will include an Interview process. After completion of all procedures, successful candidates will be granted admission to Kolkata, West Bengal, India, 700046, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, 560001 and Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, 600006.
