Department of Telecommunications invites applications for the following posts via Deputation:


Post Name: Sub Divisional Engineer

Essential Qualification:

(A) Officers from the Central or State Governments or Union Territories or Public Sector Undertakings or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Statutory and Autonomous bodies:

(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

(ii) With two years of service in the level rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in level-7 ( 44900-142400) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or

(iii) With six years of service in the level rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis the level-6 (. 35400-112400) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

(B)

(i) Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technology in Electrical or Electronics or Electrical Communication or Computer Science or Telecommunications or Information Technology or Instrumentation from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or

(ii) Passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India); or

(iii) Obtained a Degree or Diploma in Engineering, from such foreign University or College or Institution and under such conditions as may be recognized by the Government for the purpose from time to time; or

(iv) Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India); or

(v) Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November, 1959; or

(vi) Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III or Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; and

Essential Work Experience: Two years of experience in field of Telecommunications and Administration.

Post Name: Junior Telecom Officer

Essential Qualification:

(A) Officers from the Central Government shall be eligible who are:

(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

(ii) With five years regular service in posts in level 6 of the pay matrix ( 35400-112400); and

(B)

(i) Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technology in Electrical or Electronics or Electrical Communication or Computer Science or Telecommunications or Information Technology or Instrumentation from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or

(ii) Passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India); or

(iii) Obtained a Degree or Diploma in Engineering, from such foreign University or College or Institution and under such conditions as may be recognized by the Government for the purpose from time to time; or

(iv) Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India); or

(v) Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November, 1959: or

(vi) Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III or Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India or (vii)Any other qualification which has been recognized by the Government in consultation with the Union Public Service Commission for the purpose of admission to the Engineering Services Examination.
