Post Name: Scientific/Technical Officer-D

Essential Qualification: An M.Sc. degree in Astronomy/ Physics/ Mathematics/Electronics, or a B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. degree in a relevant branch of engineering, and a good knowledge of Astronomy and Astrophysics. Candidates with an M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. should have at least six years experience while those with an M.E./M.Tech. at least four years experience in astronomy and astrophysics related activities after their above-mentioned degrees. Experience would include teaching astronomy and astrophysics in a higher education or research institution, generating resource material on astronomy and astrophysics at the higher-education level as well as doctoral/post-doctoral research experience related to astronomy and astrophysics. Of the total experience, at least one year should be in close involvement in generating resource material on astronomy and astrophysics for faculty at colleges and universities.
