National Sports University Imphal invites applications for the following post via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Professor (Physical Education)

Essential Qualification:

(i) Master Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed)/Master in Physical Education and Sports (M,P.E.S) with a minimum of 55% of Marks or its equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed.

(ii) Ph.D. in the concerned/allied relevant disciplines and published work.

(iii) An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in above) / industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten year experience.

Essential Work Experience:

(i) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor /Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University / National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate. 

(ii) A minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC - listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 (UGC regulation 2018)

(iii) Experience in educational administration, examination, design of new curricula and course, training and orientation

Post Name: Associate Professor (Sports Coaching)

Essential Qualification:

(i) Master Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed)/Master in Physical Education and Sports (M,P.E.S) with a minimum of 55% of Marks or its equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed.

(ii) Ph.D. in the concerned/allied relevant disciplines and published work.

Essential Work Experience:

(i) A minimum of eight year experience of teaching an academic / research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University/ College as Accredited Research institution / industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer – reviewed as UGC – listed journals or a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2. (UGC regulations 2018).

(ii) Outstanding achievement in coaching with evidence and having produced good performance teams/athletes for competitions at the level of State/Inter University/National/International.

Post Name: Associate Professor (Sports Medicine)

Essential Qualification:

(i) M.D.(Sports Medicine)/MS (Orthopaedics)/M.D (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation/ M.D.(Physiology) with 2 years experience in Sports Medicine.

Essential Work Experience:

(i) Teaching & Research Experience

(ii) Experience of working with sports person.

(iii) Minimum of two research publications. Provided that these research publications are published/accepted for publication in the Jounal by the National Associations/Societies of the respective specialities as First Author
