Indian Museum Kolkata invites applications for the following post via Direct Recruitment/Deputation/Absorption:

For Direct Recruitment:
Essential Qualification:
(i) Masters or equivalent Degree of a recognised University in Indian History or Archaeology or Anthropology or Chemistry or Fine Arts or Pali or in a classical Indian language or Degree in Museology.
(ii) Knowledge of Indian antiquities, Museum techniques, publication and educational activities.
Essential Work Experience:
(i) Research experience (documentary evidence of published work to be produced).
(ii) 10 years experience in a museum under the control of Central/State Govt. and 5 years administrative experience in responsible post.
Desirable:
(i) Study or travel abroad in connection with any aspect of museums preferably in countries notable for Museum development.
(ii) Knowledge in Indian antiquities and antiquarian laws.
For Deputation/Absorption:
Essential Qualification:
From Officers under Central/State Governments/Semi Govt. /Universities, Statutory or Autonomous organizations under Central/State Government
(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis; or
(ii) With 2 years regular service in the posts in the Scale of Payof (Level 13A of 7 th CPC); or
(iii) With 3 years regular service in the posts in the Scale of Pay Level 13 of (Level 13 of 7 th CPC)and
(iv) Possessing educational qualifications and experience prescribed for direct recruitmentas mentioned above.
