Odisha Power Generation Corporation Limited invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Managing Director

Essential Qualification: The candidate must be a Bachelors Degree holder in Mechanical/ Electrical / Electrical and Electronics Engineering with good academic records (Minimum 60% or CGPA of 6.5 at HSC, Higher Secondary and Graduation Levels)

Essential Work Experience:

• Experience in developing and implementing strategic business plans Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Able to excel in high-pressure situations

• A proven track record of at least 25 (twenty-five) years of post-qualification experience in relevant functional areas (thermal power plant operations, project management, regulatory affairs)

For Internal Candidates:-

• He/ she should have at least 01 (one) year experience in a senior level position (GM/Sr GM & above) or

• The Candidate shall be drawing a pay in the scale of 123100-215900/- ie in level of 15 of the Pay matrix under the ORSP rules 2017 or higher scale of pay on the date of advertisement

• If an internal candidate is selected for the post of Managing Director he/ she should resign/ take VR from its service and join as Managing Director on contractual appointment

Candidates from CPSU/SPSU/ Central/State Government:-

• He or she should have at least 3 years of experience in a senior management level position (GM/Sr GM & above) in an organization of repute or

• The candidate shall be drawing a pay in the scale of 123100- 215900/ in level 15 of ORSP Rules 2017 or equivalent revised scale of pay or higher pay of Central Govt/ CPSE / other organisations on the date of advertisement

Candidates from Private Sector:-

• Candidate must have worked at senior management level equivalent to Executive Director in public sector for at least 3 years

• The annual turnover of the company should at least 71500 Crore over last 3 years (FY 2020-21, FY 2021-22, FY 2022-23)
