Directorate of Extension invites applications for the following post via Deputation:

Post Name: Joint Director (Extension)

Essential Qualification: 

• Officers from the under Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi-Government autonomous and State organizations or Agricultural Universities or recognized research institutions or Councils:-

(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

(ii) With five years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in pay band-3, 15600-39100/- plus grade pay of 5400/- (Level 10 in Pay-Matrix by 7th CPC) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

• Masters degree in Agriculture or Agriculture Extension from a recognized university or institute or Masters degree in Rural Management or Master of Business Administration with a Bachelors degree in Agriculture from a recognized University or Institute or Masters Degree in Agriculture Business Management or Vegetable Sciences or Horticulture or Agro-Forestry, or Degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognized University or Institute;

Essential Work Experience: Three years experience in coordination and overseeing or execution of Agricultural Extension or Extension Programme in the field of administration or Management of Agriculture or Extension Programme or teaching experience at college or university level in Agriculture or Extension Programme with special reference to training of extension personnel and farmers.

Desirable: Three years experience in formulation and conduct of extension training programmes.
