Essential Qualification: Officers under Central Government /State Governments/ Union Territory Administrations / Public Sector Undertakings/Universities/ Recognised Research Institutions/ Semi Government or Autonomous Bodies/ Statutory Organizations:

• Holding Analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department

• With 5 years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in PB-2, 9,300-34,800 with grade pay of 5,400 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department

• With 6 years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts. in PB, 10,300- 34,800/PB-2, 9300-34,800 with grade pay of 4,800 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department;

• Masters Degree from a recognized University.

• M.Ed, in special Education (Mental Retardation) from a Recognized Institution/University by RCI.
  

Essential Work Experience: Five years experience in the field of mental retardation from an RCI recognized Institution.

Desirable: Ph.D, M.Phil in relevant field/subject.
