West Bengal Board of Primary Education invites applications for WB TET 2022

Exam name: WB TET 2022

Educational Qualification: 

(i) Classes I-V

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (R.C.I.), shall also be considered.

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

(ii) Persons who have appeared for final examination of Two Year D.El.Ed. Course from NCTE recognized institutions on the date of this Notification and the result is not yet published

  • Persons who have appeared for final examination of Two Year D.Ed. (Special Education) Course from RCI recognized institutions on the date of this Notification and the result is not yet published. And

  • Persons who have appeared for final examination of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Course from NCTE recognized institutions on the date of this Notification and the result is not yet published shall also be eligible to sit for the TET-2022

  • Persons who are undergoing D.EL.Ed./D.Ed. (Special Education)/B.Ed. Training (session 2020-2022) and who have qualified in D.El.Ed/D.Ed. (Special Education)/B.Ed. Part-I examination (session 2020-2022) will be given opportunity to apply for TET-2022

Essential Qualification: A candidate who will score 60% and above out of the full marks (150) in the TET will be considered as TET-2022 passed candidate. A relaxation by 5% (i.e. 55%) will be the qualifying mark for SC. ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PH, EC, Ex-Servicemen and DH (Death-in-harness) candidates.

Correction is Eligibility Criterion

The Added Eligibility Criterion shall be read as a last addendum in the Section (ii) as follow.The Persons who have enrolled their names for pursuing 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education by whatever name known/ 4 year bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education) recognized by the Rehabilitation council of India (R.C.I) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in any NCTE recognized Institutions shall also be eligible to sit for the TET-2022.

Admit Card Released

It is hereby notified that the examinees (candidates) can download their Admit Card for Teacher Test-2022, schedule to be held on 11/12/2022, through online portal on and from 30/11/2022.For more details refer the advertisement.

Correction in Venue Address

In continuation of our earlier notification bearing no 2077/WBBPE/2022 dated 08/12/2022, the Board has further found mismatch/errors in the names/addresses of some TET-2022 venues. To sort out this problem and to rectify the names/addresses of the venues mentioned in the TET-2022 Admit Cards already downloaded by the candidates, the Board is notifying the correct names/addresses of some more venues for attention of the concerned candidates.

Correction in Venue Address

The Board has found mismatch/errors in the names address of Some of the TET-2022 Venues. To sort out this problem and to rectify the names/addresses of the venues mentioned in the TET-2022 Admit Cards already downloaded by the Candidates, the Borad is notifying the Correct names/addresses of such venues for attention of the Concerned candidates. If the Candidates desire to download their admit cards with the rectified names/addresses, they will be allowed to do so.
