Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships invites applications for the following post via direct recruitment:

Technician (General)

Essential Qualification:

(i) Passed matriculation or its equivalent. should hav serve as an apprentice for at least four years in a reputable firm or mechanical engineers or Central or State Government Establishment.

(ii) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution with two years experience in precision lathe work, milling, shaping, brazing, black smithy and carpentry.

Essential Work Experience:

Should have in addition, two years practical experience in precision lathe work, milling, shaping, brazing, black smithy and carpentry.

Should be a good fitter and turner and have elementary knowledge of building construction and experience in estimation and mechanical drawing.
