Essential Qualification: The candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and also should possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT. However, for the following Trades the minimum educational qualification is 8th class pass from recognized School and the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT:

1. Welder (Gas and Electric)

2. Sheet Metal Worker

3. Lineman

4. Wireman

5. Carpenter

6. Painter (General)

Recruitment Details

Railway Recruitment Cell Eastern Railway invites application for various posts. Total 2792 number of vacancy/vacancies have been announced in the notification. Applications are invited with reference to advertisement number RRC-ER/Act Apprentices/2019-20. The minimum age limit is 18 and maximum age limit is 25 as on date. Age relaxation will be given to the following categories: SC/ST Categories, Other Backward Classes, Person With Benchmark Disability and Ex-Servicemen will be as per the government rules. Quota/Reservation will be provided to the following categories: Unreserved, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections, PWBD Quota and Ex-servicemen . After compilation of all the procedures, the candidates will be posted at Kolkata, West Bengal, India, 700046 and West Bengal, India, 713427.
